Which microbe lives under my shoe? How long does a bacterium live? Why do microbes have different shapes and colors?  Do microbes survive in space? How to know if a microbe is a « good » or a « bad » bug?
In March, Julie and Laetitia, teacher-researchers at the LISM, went to meet the 45 pupils of the Château Sec primary school to run microbiology workshops. Equipped with cotton swabs and petri dishes, the children did some hand-on science experiments. They isolated the microbes naturally present around them, compared their results and were able to ask all their questions about the microscopic world.  A very stimulating exchange on the scientific process and the profession of researcher!
